Holocene No. 1 by Ilse Crawford consists of a dish shape made of solid brass, inside of which the lamp oil is burnt. With the flat side facing up, a wick protrudes from its centre, that should always be soaked in oil before being lit. A warm and magical atmosphere is created by the flame that is reflected in a special way in the mirror polished brass.
